I have a shih tzu, and I just use a fine tooth comb and a little consmetics detangling ball brush... Works like a charm! no need to spend a whole lot on a dog brush Neutral I just found it at homegoods while I was looking for a cute table mat to put her dog food bowl on hehe! Laughing

Something along the lines of this should work Smile
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Ball+brush+for+dogs&biw=1366&bih=620&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=TphYVcH1M8yfNq_tgKgF&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg

Also I believe Maltese shed their fur like other dogs so a good thing to help with that would be this
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=rubber+glove+dog+brush&biw=1366&bih=620&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=4ZhYVYXLH4OegwSG5YGIDg&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAg#imgrc=ZGUTjeLL76F7gM%253A%3BS-zKAryrnoWiwM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fi01.i.aliimg.com%252Fwsphoto%252Fv0%252F1181414631_1%252FDog-Cat-Pet-massage-Shedding-Tool-Brush-Cleaning-Shower-Soft-Rubber-Brushes-Soft-Rubber-Glove-Brush.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.aliexpress.com%252Fitem%252FDog-Cat-Pet-massage-Shedding-Tool-Brush-Cleaning-Shower-Soft-Rubber-Brushes-Soft-Rubber-Glove-Brush%252F1181414631.html%3B600%3B600
