Guys! I'm half scared to death! Nick has a small bald patch on his neck and it's really red! I just noticed it today! Pictures:

Ok, so first of all,
-Has his cage got anything that might have been chewed that is now sharp?
-Is it bald around the area?
-Can you see any Black or White spots in his fur by his skin?

Do you have a mesh wheel or any place the fur could have been ripped? Ripped fur usually results in scabs.

This could possibly become infected, is there any swelling or discharge?

This may also be a tick or mite bite. Is Nick itching the region?

Look around the cage for tufts of fur, and in the meantime, monitor Nick's behaviour for any signs of the cause.

To soothe the pain and speed up healing, dab some fresh thyme tea on the wound twice-a-day until the wound is healed completely. Please keep me updated and don't hesitate to PM me if you need more help.

It could be mites. Check for more black dots around the neck, ears and forehead.
You could put thyme tea on it to healp it heal. Or if you have manuka honey, you could dab some of that on it.
To make thyme tea:
Boil some water.
Get a few fresh 'leaves' of thyme.
Place the leaves at the bottom of the cup and pour the water on them.
Leave them to cool and then when they are at room temperaturÄ™, sift out the leaves
Take the tea and soak a cotton bud or q-tip in the tea,
Apply some of the tea to the scab using the cotton bud or q-tip.
Make sure Nick doesent pouch some of the cotton.

OK. Mom will get some thyme, and Dad said we can take him to the vet on Monday. Thanks! I'll get further information there.
